Group Details For Music appreciation

Our Music Appreciation Group meets on the first Friday of the month from 2.30-4.30pm at St Pauls Church, Devon Square, Newton Abbot. Whilst the emphasis is on classical music, we try to cater for every possible taste of an older generation by sometimes including jazz, music from well known musicals or early popular music. The members choose what we play, so anything is possible (except Doris Day - you'll have to join us to find out why!). Some members choose to do presentations, which may have a theme, or they may just choose their favourites. Sometimes we all bring along a CD and we each play a piece. We are a really friendly group, and stop for a drink, a piece of cake and a chat halfway through. We would be happy for anyone to come along and experience the pleasure of listening to music with a group of friends. Do give us a try.
