Group Description :
The group meets EACH month on the 3rd WEDNESDAY at the St Pauls Church Hall, Devon Square, Newton Abbot from 14:00 to 16:00.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 21st May 2025
We meet to develop and share the skills required to research our ancestors and explore the world in which they lived.
We do this through presentations about our experiences of researching our ancestors, exploring challenges group members are having during their research and sharing knowledge. Recent topics we have covered include: an ancestor who was awarded an OBE, indentifying postal worker uniforms on line to help date a photo of a family member and using on line records to help solve 'brick walls'.
The group would be pleased to welcome new members, both those with experience and those who are new to genealogy.
